A chance of rain is on the way, but it's not looking like it will wash out the weekend.

Saturday morning will start out cloudy, but should see clearing by mid morning. The clouds increasing again by afternoon ahead of a storm system approaching from the north.

That atmospheric river and powerful storm that has been battering northern California is starting to move south. However, don't expect the same impact when it reaches southern California. The atmospheric river will lose strength quickly on the way south. San Diego will see a chance for showers from late Saturday afternoon through early Sunday morning. Rain totals will be minimal with most areas getting less than .10".

Showers should clear by Sunday morning, making way for a cool, but mostly dry day.

Another chance for rain arrives anywhere from late Monday through Wednesday. Totals and timing are still pretty uncertain on that one. Thanksgiving is looking dry.
