Light showers will continue into this evening, with colder temperatures expected into Christmas Day.
Today's rain will be light and short lived, with under 0.10" for areas west of the mountains. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect for San Diego's mountains and deserts until 2am Wednesday. Mountains and deserts will experience wind gusts of up to 55 mph.
Christmas day will be cloudy with areas of fog in the morning, the sun will break through the clouds by late morning with mostly sunny skies in the afternoon.

Surfers are getting an early Christmas present but the swells will lower Wednesday afternoon into the evening. HIGH SURF ADVISORY is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday. Expect a high risk for rip currents, and swells between 6-7 feet with sets of 11 feet on Wednesday and Thursday.
The second half of the holiday week will be dry and sunny. Temperatures will begin to warm up over the weekend, by Sunday and Monday some parts of the county will average close to 15 degrees above normal.
