A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect through 9 a.m. for our coastal communities. A pocket of dense fog is lingering over Downtown San Diego and Point Loma. Gradual clearing is expected heading into the afternoon, but mostly cloudy and skies will remain throughout the morning. Off the coast, a MARINE STATEMENT will be in place through 10:15 a.m. as visibility over coastal waters could be down to 1 nautical mile or less.
Easterly winds will continue to taper throughout the day, but we will still have some areas with isolated wind gusts, including Campo, Pine Valley, and Julian. The humidity levels will also be on the lower end throughout this afternoon, so not ruling out the fire threat just yet. In the meantime, daytime highs across the valleys will still be trending warmer from the 70s to the 80s.
Wednesday was a very warm day, with widespread daytime highs in the mid to low 80s across nearly all valley areas, including some record-breaking temperatures.

By this weekend, temperatures will continue to cool slightly but will stay above average for the inland valleys, mountains, and deserts. Onshore flow will strengthen along the coast, and the marine layer will deepen, resulting in cooler, more seasonal temperatures.
As Christmas Eve approaches, thereβs a chance of showers on Tuesday afternoon and evening. It looks like the rain will be light at this point, but it could still make things a bit wet and soggy for the festivities. Weβll have a clearer picture as the event draws nearer, so stay tuned for updates.
