High clouds and gusty winds expected Saturday, as a powerful storm moves over Northern California.
High clouds made their way into the county overnight. As the storm moves ashore to our north we will feel the effects of the stronger onshore winds, gusting around 25mph for the coast and inland valleys. Stronger gusts of 30 to 35 mph will stretch from the mountains and deserts primarily this evening into the overnight hours.
Daytime highs are trending closer to normal near the coast, while inland valleys are averaging around 5 degrees above normal, which is close to the seasonal norm.

Sunday will be similar except onshore winds will subside, and the skies will clear by the end of the day. Clear skies will bring cooler weather at nighttime 30s across most of the county.
The King Tides continue this weekend. We’ll have morning high tides at 6.8 feet each day. A Beach Hazard will remain in effect until Sunday morning. The combination of higher surf, and those high tides could lead to some minor coastal flooding.
The work week will turn warmer and drier, with another round of Santa Ana winds possible. The days to be on alert would be Tuesday and Wednesday, but the strength of the wind is yet to be determined. The second half of the week will turn cooler, with a trough of low pressure approaching the state.
