A surge of high-level clouds will stream across the county on Sunday, as a ridge of high pressure over Baja pulls in clouds from tropical storm Kristy to our southwest. High clouds will turn our sunset and sunrise into a picturesque scene.

Beaches will be right around 70, while the inland valleys reach into the 80s once again. The surf will range from 2 to 4 feet with a moderate risk of rip currents, the water temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Marine layer clouds and patchy dense fog will return each night and early morning.

A storm system over the Gulf of Alaska will bring a big cool down for next week, gusty westerly winds for the mountains and deserts and a slight chance for light rain Monday night into Tuesday.

Temperatures will drop significantly, trending colder than normal all week. The coldest day will be on Tuesday. The storm will not be a huge rain maker as the average rainfall will be under a quarter of an inch, but winds could be a concern in our mountains and deserts up to about 55mph. That's where we have a wind advisory from Monday at 11 am to Tuesday at 9 am.

The weather stays cool but dry for Halloween Day, the evening will be cool crips for trick or treater around the county.
