Morning temperature will be from the 40s and 50s. By the afternoon, daytime highs at the coast and over the valleys will be a few degrees cooler than yesterday. Temperatures will taper slightly Thursday before some bigger changes Friday as a cold storm system from Alaska moves south.
Thereโs still some disagreement on the exact timing of this system but there are chances in the forecast for Thursday night, Friday morning and afternoon, and Saturday. With overnight lows dipping to near or below freezing, snow is also possible at 4,000 feet.
A low-pressure system to our north will continue its southern movement tonight, bringing gusty winds and rain chances. We could see some scattered showers tonight, but chances will increase early Friday morning and into the morning commute/afternoon. Off-and-on shower activity is likely again on Saturday.

In addition to the rain chances, this system will bring our daytime highs down to the low 60s over the valleys Friday, and the 40s over the mountains. Westerly winds are also expected to gust from 20-35 mph across the county.
This is a cold system that will bring our temperatures down significantly. Daytime highs on Friday for the valleys will be close to the low 60s and low 40s for the mountains. That means there is a chance we could get some snow with this storm for elevations of 4,000-5,000 ft. 1-2โโ is forecasted for our mountains locally.
