San Diego weather: Cool week, then a hot weekend ahead

NBC 7's team of meteorologists provides the most accurate 10-day forecast in San Diego. Here's what you need to know about today's weather

NBCUniversal Media, LLC

Today will be another unseasonably cool day across the county as our cooler air mass stays in place. This will be the case through Thursday. We may have a slight chance for a couple light showers Wednesday night into Thursday as a weak area of low pressure moves South through the state. There won't be much moisture with it, so any showers we happen to see won't amount to much, if any rainfall at all.

Our weather pattern will drastically shift this weekend as high pressure sets up to our East and Northeast. This will cause our temperatures to rise to unseasonable levels. Expect this weekend to feel more like Summer even though Fall begins on Sunday!

So far next week will start warm. . .
