Sunday will bring a noticeable warm-up compared to Saturday. In the valleys, temperatures are expected to increase by 10 to 13 degrees, making for a significantly warmer day. For the coastline, temperatures will still be warmer than Saturday, but with a more modest increase of 2 to 5 degrees.
There's the potential for moderate to locally strong Santa Ana winds to start developing Tuesday night into Thursday. Winds across the valleys but specially over the foothills and mountains can peak between 40 - 60 mph plus. The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning for the valleys, foothills and mountains that will go into effect starting Tuesday at 10 pm through early 4 am Thursday.
These potentially dangerous winds will also elevate fire danger due to strong gusts, low humidity, and dry vegetation.
