Good morning and Merry Christmas!
We have patchy clouds and fog this morning. By the afternoon, expect a mix of clouds, sunshine, and cool daytime highs.
The low-pressure system that brought the light precipitation proved not to be a huge rainmaker. Most of our rainfall amounts were only from 0.01’’-0.03’’ with higher amounts over our mountains.
That system is moving east and behind it is a ridge of high-pressure building over the southwest, which will keep our conditions dry and temperatures mild through the remainder of the week ahead of some gradual warming over our inland valleys this weekend.

The HIGH SURF ADVISORY has been extended through 10 a.m. Thursday as elevated surf continues to build along the coast. Today’s wave heights will be from 6-11 ft. peaking this morning before gradually diminishing this evening.
Although the wave heights won’t be as high tomorrow, we will still have elevated surf from 5-8 ft. with strong rip currents.
Tonight, we will see the return of patchy fog west of the mountains, particularly near the coast with overnight lows from the 40s and 50s between the valleys and coastal communities.
