San Diego weather: Frosty conditions Sunday morning, with slightly warmer daytime highs

Overnight lows are expected to be even colder across the county tonight due to a cold air mass that in place, prompting the first Frost Advisory of the season for the inland valleys. This could lead to frost on sensitive plants and surfaces. Residents in these areas should take precautions, such as keeping pets indoors, covering plants, bringing in delicate outdoor items, and checking for potential freezing risks to pipes.

A Frost Advisory is in effect for the inland valleys until 9 a.m. Sunday, with overnight lows expected to range from the upper 20s to low 30s in some areas.

The winds will shift on Sunday, bringing periods of offshore Santa Ana winds into the early next week. This will allow for a gradual warming trend, lower relative humidity and elevated fire danger.
