We had our first Frost Advisory of the season this morning, and the first snow in our local mountains on Saturday in the wake of the latest storm system, we will stay with warmer weather for the end of the work of the week.
Despite a cold start to the day, temperatures will recover this afternoon. We expect daytime highs to remain below average until Tuesday, before the next warm up.
Weak Santa Ana winds will keep the skies clear today with gusts over the mountains and deserts between 25 to 30 mph. Daytime highs will hover in the mid 60s to 70 degrees from San Diego to our inland valleys.

The winds shift onshore tonight with patchy low clouds and patchy fog for coastal areas Monday morning. The clouds will make a difference tonight and it won't as cold as last night by 5 to 10 degrees.
We go back to offshore winds on Tuesday, with a ridge of high pressure at the surface building and helping to usher in warmer temperatures with some spots possibly returning to 80 degree weather.
The combination of warmer weather, Santa Ana winds, and low humidity will elevate fire danger for the end of the week.
We have a super moon helping to create king tides this weekend. The king tides already peaked Friday and Saturday, but they might still be impressive this morning. Next weekend will start out warm, but a trough may bring a colder weather on Sunday and Monday with a chance for rain in the county.
