San Diego Weather: Chilly morning, dry conditions for Halloween

NBC 7's team of meteorologists provides the most accurate 10-day forecast in San Diego. Here's what you need to know about today's weather.

NBCUniversal Media, LLC A daily video forecast from NBC 7's First Alert weather team.

The light rain from early Tuesday is gone. In its place, mostly clear skies and cool air.

It'll be a chilly start for San Diegans this morning.

Around 4 a.m., our coastal temps were from the low to mid-50s and we had a good mix of low to upper 40s over the inland valleys. Julian was hovering right around 32 degrees and the desert region had temperatures from the upper 40s.

Skies will remain mostly clear ahead of some passing clouds late this morning.

Today will be slightly warmer, but high temperatures will still be below seasonal norms. That will be the case for the rest of the work week, including Halloween.

Halloween evening will stay dry, and cool, and perfect for trick-or-treating.

We have a chance for some showers this weekend. Right now the timing looks like anywhere from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning, but stay tuned as the certainty and timing could shift over the next few days.

WEDNESDAY

  • Coast: mostly sunny - mid to upper 60s
  • Valleys: mostly sunny - low 70s
  • Mountains: mostly sunny - low 60s
  • Desert: sunny - mid 70s
