Scattered showers developed this morning across the inland valleys on Friday morning. On-and-off shower activity will continue throughout the day and into Saturday
We aren't expecting much more than a couple tenths of an inch of rain most places, but this cold storm could also drop some light snow on San Diego's mountains by late Friday or early Saturday. The snow level could drop to between 4,000 and 5,000 feet. If accumulations do develop, only a light dusting of snow is expected.
Daytime highs will be significantly cooler with temperatures dropping 10 to 20 degrees from Thursday to Friday. San Diego's mountains will see the biggest drop with high temperatures running 20 to 30 degrees below normal. Gusty winds will make it feel even colder.

Meantime, at the coast, a BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT will be in place through 10 a.m. Saturday a strong northwesterly swell will bring elevated wave heights and potential for coastal flooding.
