San Diego Weather: Sunday will be a nice and sunny day inland, with big surf and patchy dense fog along the coast

Expect dense fog to develop along the coast tonight into tomorrow morning lowering visibility down to a quarter of a mile or less. Please drive safely.

Sunday will be a bit cooler, but overall, it’ll be a nice, mild day. The coast will only see partial clearing at best due to the stubborn fog and marine layer, while areas further inland will be sunny and calm, perfect for outdoor activities.

A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect until Sunday at 4 p.m. because of high surf and strong rip currents, creating dangerous conditions for swimmers and surfers.

By next Tuesday through Thursday, we’re likely to see Santa Ana winds picking up to moderate strength. This will bring very low humidity, warmer temperatures, and an increased risk of fire danger, possibly reaching critical levels in some areas
