2025 is going to start off dry. A weak Santa Ana will bring offshore winds to the mountains overnight, while the coast will once again see some patchy dense fog by morning.
We are now officially coming off of one of San Diego's driest Decembers on record with only one day of measurable rainfall, which was 0.01" back on December 12th.

A weak Santa Ana will bring 15 to 20mph gusts to the mountains overnight. The winds will taper New Year's Day and then briefly pick back up again on Thursday. While the winds will not be particularly strong, relative humidity will drop down to around 15% the next two afternoons for San Diego's mountains. So, fire danger will be slightly elevated through Thursday.
Friday and Saturday will see a return of the onshore flow and slightly cooler temperatures.
