Padres sign Jackson Merrill to 9-year, $135M extension | San Diego News Daily

All-Star outfielder Jackson Merrill reportedly agreed to a nine-year, $135 million extension with the Friars that is guaranteed to run through the 2034 season. And, family, friends and coworkers are mourning the loss of a former chef at Carlsbad’s Jeune et Jolie after she was killed in a hiking accident in Hawaii last weekend. Plus, the city of San Diego and SDG&E are making a big milestone for a program aimed at lowering electric bills for hundreds of local families.
