Tis the season for holiday shopping deals. People across the county are spending their money locally on a day that’s come to be known as “Small Business Saturday”. NBC 7’s M.G. Perez reports.

“Black Friday” is one of, if not the, busiest shopping day of the year in most places. The smaller local shops of Ocean Beach though may be starting at a deficit since the pier closed, NBC 7’s Dave Summers reports.

A man who arranged a human smuggling attempt that led to the drowning deaths of three migrants near the Ocean Beach Pier pleaded guilty to federal charges.

The city of San Diego Planning Commission voted Thursday to bring plans for a three-story, 20-unit apartment building in Ocean Beach to a standstill.
