Northbound traffic on Interstate 5 was heavily backed up near the San Diego County Fair on Wednesday evening as fairgoers flocked to the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Juneteenth.

The driver of a semi-truck with a trailer was killed Friday in Altadena when the driver spun out, the truck overturned and crashed on the southbound I-15 transition to southbound I-805, CHP said.

At least six vehicles crashed on Interstate-15 in the Carmel Mountain area of San Diego on Monday night, sending at least two people to hospitals, according to California Highway Patrol.
