The Interstate-5 in San Diego County has been named California’s third-top deadliest roadway and is seeing a postpandemic spike, according to a new report from ConsumerAffairs.

Just the San Diego County section of Interstate-5 is the state’s third-deadliest road, according to Consumer Affairs. 

Caltrans contractors will conduct a weekend closure of all lanes of southbound State Route 125 from the SR-125/State Route 94 connector to Jamacha Road beginning at 9 p.m. Friday evening.

Crews are working to fix the 8-foot-wide sinkhole on the transition ramp.

All northbound lanes on Interstate 5 from Carlsbad Village Drive to Vista Way will be closed Monday night, according to Caltrans San Diego.
