Recap: Eagles celebrate Super Bowl victory with parade down Broad Street

Several SEPTA train lines are operating with delays because of signal problems as fans try to leave the city.

The transit agency took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with the list of lines impacted.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman got a little attention for the bar-can-shaped gash on his head before stepping to the mic at Friday's Super Bowl celebration.

Lots of experts around the country selected the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX, completing the three-peat. Couldn't go against Patrick Mahomes, they said.

Well, six sacks and a dominant showing by the Eagles defense later and your Birds are partying on Broad Street today.

After a delay due to unexpected facilities issues, doors to Xfinity Live! are open just in time for parade speeches to start.

Saquon Barkley saw the Eagles ball boy in the crowd and pulled him over the fence to join them in the parade.

Jeff Lurie has now overseen both of the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl victories.

He credited his players, coaches and Birds fans.

The crowds along Broad Street seemed to be 20 people deep or more along the victory parade route.

You gotta love this from the Eagles star rookie.

"I'm just having a blast," DeJean said.

We can cut Eagles fans some slack — I mean, it's been a party for six days now.

The Super Bowl victory parade is a love note from the team to fans. 💚

Superstar running back Saquon Barkley got off the bus to run over to fans lined up along Broad Street.

If there's one thing that always holds true about Gillie, he goes all out.

The Super Bowl parade in 2018 had many moments forever etched into Eagles history — especially when it came to the fashion.

Many instantly recall Jason Kelce's mummer outfit ... but the second most memorable has to go to Chris Long, who rocked a fur coat and an Allen Iverson jersey.

Well, the coat made its way back to Broad Street in the Super Bowl LIX parade on Josh Sweat.

The Lombardi Trophy and the Super Bowl MVP are making their way up Broad Street.

A great moment captured by NBC10's Brian Sheehan along Broad Street as Eagles fans got ready for the Lombardi Trophy to pass.

With fans flocking to South Broad Street, SEPTA has started bypassing the Walnut-Locust Station on the Broad Street Line around 10 a.m. on Friday.

Folks riding Regional Rail were also dealing with delays as the morning went on.

Xfinity Live! was set to host a parade watch party Friday but shared the location is temporarily closed due to an unexpected facilities issue.

They will continue to provide updates as the morning progresses.

The Eagles won't make it to the museum steps for another few hours but fans are in place and ready for the moment when it arrives.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art steps are ready to welcome the Super Bowl champions.

Even though it was announced a few days ago that Philadelphia public schools would be closed for Friday's Super Bowl parade, a certain elementary school made sure to share a special announcement to their social pages.

Abbott Elementary, the popular television show based in Philly, shared a message to their social media calling off school for the day.

By 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, SEPTA had already transported more than 40,000 people into the parade area on Regional Rail trains, SEPTA said.

Prior to Friday, SEPTA said they would have a capacity of around 70,000 Regional Rail passengers.

That means SEPTA has already exceeded more than half the planned Regional Rail capacity for the day.

The last trains to pick up suburban passengers are expected to board between 10:45 a.m. to 11 a.m., the transit agency said. Once that happens, the Broad Street Line and Market-Frankford subway lines will be the only ways to ride SEPTA trains into town.

Every corner in Philadelphia is stepping up their game to show support for the Eagles, especially some of the most iconic locations.

If you're making your way into the city for the parade, make sure you're allowing ample time to get to your destination.

Lines at the Wilmington train station continue to grow with hours before the scheduled start time.

Some of the fans who were in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art before daybreak Friday has a sleeping kid and a pig named for the star Kansas City Chiefs QB beaten by the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

NBC10's Brenna Weick spoke to the pig roaster.

The day has finally arrived for the Eagles Super Bowl parade.

Fans have started to line Broad Street — some even camped outside of the entrance at Lincoln Financial Field — to see the champs make their way to the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps.
