Time Warner Cable on Friday blacked out CBS for customers in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Detroit and other markets at 5 p.m. ET, NBC News reported. The cable provider cites failed negations with the network for the move, while CBS claims in its own statement that Time Warner Cable "has conducted negotiations in a combative and non-productive spirit." CBS insists it only wants to be fairly compensated for what it calls "the most popular content in the world." Showtime, which is owned by CBS, is blacked out as well.
