A police pursuit in the south west Los Angeles area Sunday night ended with a crash and the driver in handcuffs.
The police pursuit started on the 405 Freeway, with the driver taking the 105 Freeway eastbound near Los Angeles International Airport.
The LA County Sheriff's Department was the lead agency conducting the pursuit of a stolen vehicle, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Gil Leyvas and Newschopper4 Bravo were over the chase at approximately 8:37 p.m. in the Lynwood area on surface streets. The SUV had white paper plates and was speeding in and out of neighborhoods.
The pursuit traveled into the Compton area after having started in the Inglewood area and continuing to Lynwood.
The driver was blowing through stop signs and not paying attention to red lights.
Then, the vehicle approached the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and West Artesia Boulevard and struck another vehicle. The pursuit seemed like it may continue, but police swarmed the vehicle and ended the chase forcefully in Long Beach.

The driver, who was wearing red pants, was pulled out of the vehicle and taken into police custody.
It was not immediately clear whether the people in the vehicle that was struck by the pursuit vehicle were injured.
