A Bellevue, Wash., woman who lost 120 pounds had to take down a photo on her Facebook page showing her slimmer body in her "fat pants," because of its adult nature.
While Marilyn McKenna was fully clothed, because she had paid to promote her Facebook photo, she became a casualty of Facebook's terms of service. "Facebook's terms require advertisers of weight loss and other adult products to limit the audience of their ads to people aged 18 and over," a Facebook flack told KING 5 News.
"I'm not promoting anything," McKenna said, "I'm talking about the weight loss journey I've been on."
McKenna, the wife of former Washington Attorney General Rob McKenna, uses the page to talk about her 120-pound loss and added the photo of her standing in one leg of what she calls her "fat pants" and one day later was contacted by Facebook to take the photo down.
