James Cameron's name has been splashed across the British tabloids this week, and it's not for "Avatar's" Academy Award nominations. One of the award winning director's ex-wives has decided to dish some dirty details on his romantic past.
“Work and women go hand in hand for Jimbo, and I should know,” Linda Hamilton, who married Cameron while he worked on Titanic, told the Daily Mail.
Hamilton said that while Cameron lived with her during the making of Titanic, he had an affair with Suzy Amis, who had a small role in the film. Cameron married Hamilton after the affair ended, but eventually went back to Amis.
"Titanic was the mistress he left me for," Hamilton said in a seperate interview with The Sun.
The famed director has a history of picking up his female colleagues and dropping them for others.
The director left his first wife, Sharon Williams, after he began work on "The Terminator."
He hooked up with "The Terminator" producer, Gale Anne Hurd, and later left her after he worked with Kathryn Bigelow on one of her films.

When he began work on "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," Linda Hamilton came into his life.
And when he worked on "Titanic," he fell for Suzy Amis, creating a dramatic love triangle.
'It's interesting because while he was making "Titanic," Suzy at that time was the gargoyle on the end of my bed, waiting to swoop in," Hamilton told the Daily Mail. "Now I'm the gargoyle on her bed because for Jim, the one who doesn't end up with him is always the one he wants. I'm the one who got away, and she has to live with that."
