Water service restored to affected residents in Point Loma

NBC Universal, Inc.

About 200 residents in the Point Loma Heights neighborhood of San Diego were left with little to no water pressure after a water main break on Saturday, according to the city.

By Sunday before 8 a.m., city crews completed their repairs and restored water service to all affected customers. A city spokesperson told NBC 7 the cause of the break was likely corrosion of an old pipeline.

Crews are expected to remain in the area to clean up and finish by noon on Sunday.

At the time of the break, water could be seen gushing from the intersection of Worden and Bob Streets.

Two water wagons were available for residents on Worden and Bob Streets to get drinking water.
