A woman and a man were shot and killed by the woman's roommate at their apartment in San Diego's East Village on Thursday afternoon, San Diego police confirmed.
SDPD officers responded to reports of a shooting inside a unit at the Spire San Diego building on Island Avenue between 14th and 15th streets at about 3:11 p.m. Two people were found dead in the living room in a unit on the 35th floor of the high rise complex, SDPD said.
One of the victims was a 28-year-old woman who lived in the unit, and the other was an unidentified man, according to SDPD Lt. Andra Brown. Neither have been identified.

The suspect, who was taken into custody after he was pulled over on Interstate 805 within an hour of the shooting, lived with the female victim, SDPD confirmed. The suspect had a weapon and his 5-year-old daughter with him when he was arrested, SDPD said.
No motive has been detailed, but investigators said the shooting appears to be targeted.
Neighbors told NBC 7 they heard gunshots from outside. The entrance to the building was taped off by police.
