The names of more than 58,000 Vietnam War veterans have been carefully etched into synthetic granite panels spanning 375 feet. Together the panels form a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Wall That Heals is a traveling exhibit that has toured the United States for the last 30 years.
On Tuesday, March 19, the exhibit made its way to Wells Park in El Cajon by way of an 18-wheeler, with a full escort and parade.
"Our Vietnam Veterans are getting older, they're aging, and it's a perfect opportunity to come out and say thank you for your service, and pay patronage to them, said Matt Medina, with Wall That Heals.
