San Diego lifeguards and police officers were called to Sunset Cliffs Thursday after a body was discovered in the water, according to officials.
The body was found near the foot of Monaco Street, just off Sunset Cliffs just after 12:30 p.m.
Lifeguards recovered the body from the water and transported the body to lifeguard headquarters in Mission Bay.
San Diego police said the case appears to be a suicide, though it remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
