Stabbing Inside Kearny Mesa Restaurant Min Sok Chon

Business owners in Kearny Mesa are concerned after a stabbing at a local restaurant. NBC 7’s Liberty Zabala reports.

San Diego Police are looking for a man who stabbed another man at a restaurant in Kearny Mesa Wednesday night.

A fight broke out inside Min Sok Chon restaurant on Convoy Street near Dagget Street, east of Interstate 805 and west of State Route 163.

Medics packed the victim into the back of an ambulance just before midnight.

The victim was stabbed in his arm and upper back but is expected to survive his injuries, police said.

News of the stabbing has nearby business owners worried.

Kristen Le owns Cafe Bene in the same strip mall as the restaurant. She closed up shop before the incident happened.

Le said Min Sok Chon is a popular restaurant and karaoke bar with great employees and service but sometimes there are a few drunk people there at night.

Officers taped off the parking lot and interviewed witnesses.

They say the suspect was a man in his 20s wearing a white shirt. They described him as 5-foot, 8-inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
