The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation is looking for Freddy Rojas, who walked away from a Male Community Re-entry Program facility in San Diego County on Saturday night.
After a day-long search, law enforcement officials have apprehended an inmate seen walking out of a re-entry facility in San Diego County Saturday night, according to the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation.
The inmate, identified as Freddy Rojas, was found near the San Diego-Tijuana border at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday. The CDCR says he walked out of a Male Community Re-entry Program facility in San Diego County on Saturday night.
After being taken into custody, he was booked at the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility.
Rojas arrived in San Diego County in May 2023, while serving a seven-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance and sale as a second striker with an enhancement for being armed with a firearm.
