A man has been arrested in connection to Tuesday night's deadly shooting and stabbing in East Village, police said Wednesday.
Alex Bailey, 53, was taken into custody during a traffic stop at 2800 National Avenue around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Detectives believe Bailey was the suspect who shot a man in the area of 14th Street and Imperial Avenue at about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to investigators, a group of people were gathered on the sidewalk when an altercation broke out that led to the suspect shooting the victim and another suspect stabbing the victim. Both suspects left in different directions, Campbell said.
