San Diego Police Arrest 5 Burglary Suspects at Mira Mesa House

A homeowner called police to report a robbery around 6 p.m. Friday after he saw suspicious activity on his security camera application on his cell phone.

Five men were arrested in connection with the burglary attempt in Mira Mesa, confirmed police.

SDPD officers arrived at the scene five minutes later. It happened on the 8800 block of Revelstoke Way.

With help from a police helicopter and a K-9 unit, police were able to arrest the suspects swiftly.

"We just see like a helicopter, a bunch of like police cars and everything, and were like what the heck is going on?" neighbor Renzo Siboldi told NBC 7. He and his younger brother were shocked to see the helicopter, canines and more than eight patrol cars swarm the house.

Police say the homeowner was able to give a good description of the suspects based on his cell phone video.

"I also saw the police take the gun out and point the gun to the house," said neighbor Tyler Liu. "This is scary."
