Darren Bennett, former pro football punter, played 11 seasons with the San Diego Chargers.
In fact, he's among only a handful of Bolts players to be in the team's hall of fame.
He has very strong opinions about the stadium scramble that’s been playing out among St. Louis, Los Angeles, Oakland and San Diego over the last few months.
On Thursday, Bennett spoke with NBC 7 and offered a challenge to San Diego fans and to NBC 7 Sports Director (and former Chargers linebacker) Jim Laslavic.
"Let's have the Raiders in San Diego," Bennett says in the video.
The video drew a slew of comments to NBC 7's Instagram page, Facebook page and Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.
Many people were outraged of the idea of embracing one of the Bolts' longtime rivals, while others were lukewarm about the thought.

"Strong words from a man in the Chargers ring of honor," Instagram user @dirtywally wrote.
Other comments had a bit more vitriol.
"Hell no! I'd rather not have a team in SD than have the Raiders," Instagram user @jackiesb84 commented.
