[[MICHELLE/VO]] \tIT STARTED WITH AN ARREST WARRANT THIS MORNING IN ROCKFORD. \tWE’VE JUST LEARNED, THE MCHENRY COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTY ON THE TASK FORCE SHOT WHILE SERVING THAT WARRANT – HAS NOW DIED. \tHIS NAME JACOB KELTNER – A 12 AND A HALF YEAR VETERAN IN THAT DEPARTMENT. \tNOW, AT THIS HOUR, THE SUSPECT IS STILL CORNERED BY POLICE NEAR DOWNSTATE LINCOLN. \tPOLICE SAY THE SUSPECT – 39 YEAR OLD FLOYD BROWN – FROM SPRINGFIELD – SHOT A WOMAN INSIDE A HOTEL ROOM, AND A SHERIFF’S DEPUTY IN A HOTEL PARKING LOT -THEN TOOK OFF. \tEVENTUALLY CRASHING OUTSIDE OF LINCOLN AND HOLDING POLICE AT BAY FOR HOURS. \tAND – PUTTING PEOPLE IN TWO COMMUNITIES – NEARLY 160 MILES APART – ON HIGH ALERT . After the gunman escaped the hotel in Rockford— Police sent out an all points bulletin that he was armed, dangerous, and on the move— Then—he re-appeared here—near the very place he had escaped over two months ago. ===== SUSPECT SPOTTED ON I-55 NEAR BLOOMINGTON ===== Police gave chase—at times in excess of 110 miles an hour Warnings went out that he was armed and had been seen pointing his gun from the car.
