A small vegetation fire prompted evacuation warnings to some residents in Ramona and scorched 35 acres of land Thursday.
The fire was reported at 11:30 a.m. at Main and Hope streets and was 75 percent contained by 4 p.m., according to Cal Fire.
Homes on Etcheverry Street were temporarily advised to evacuate but the warnings were lifted at about 12:45 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
At about noon, crews stopped the forward rate of spread on the 10-acre fire. Cal Fire at about 1:30 p.m. estimated the fire had burned about 35 acres of land.
CHP Officer James Bettencourt said the call initially came in as a big rig on fire. A SigAlert was in place at northbound and southbound State Route 67.
Southbound SR-67 was closed at Hope Street and northbound SR-67 was closed at Dye Street. Both directions were back open at 2 p.m.
A nearby elementary school was not in session.

Weather conditions in the area of the fire were favorable for fire crews. The humidity was at 40 percent, temperatures were high in the mid-80s but there was cloud cover. Winds were below 10 miles an hour.
