A sinkhole in Oceanside closed both northbound and southbound lanes on Melrose Drive at Cannon Road for 24 hours, Oceanside police said Sunday.
By Monday evening, both northbound and southbound lanes of Melrose Drive were reopened, according to a spokesperson with the Vista Irrigation District.
The district confirmed to NBC 7 that a broken water line was the cause of the sinkhole.
