Ryco Ontiveros was on his way to work when he says he saw the commotion.
"Next thing you know, I see the fight got broken up, the little kid was walking up towards me, and I rolled down my window and I said – what happened? ... I’m like you stabbed him? He goes yeah … I’m like that’s not good dude – you stabbed that kid? He had his blade and he put the blade away and he said f’em.”

Ontiveros was able to capture video of the suspect walking away. He says he then got out of his car to check in on the victim and he saw a gash below the teen's chest.
“It was a good little gash he had, the blade was not small, it was a good little size blade and the sad thing was when he was holding his thing – he asked me. Am I going to die? And I said, you’re not going to die kiddo, you got this dude, I said you’re going to be alright.”
