A woman was arrested Tuesday after leading San Diego police on a chase that ended with her crashing into a parked truck in Mira Mesa.
The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) said officers tried to pull over the woman for a traffic violation near a 7-Eleven at Camino Ruiz and Capricorn Way just before 1 a.m. Instead of stopping, the woman sped off.
She drove about a half-mile and then crashed into a parked truck at Avenida Del Gato. The woman was arrested but her passenger fled on foot.
Police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the chase and crash. The passenger is still outstanding.
No one was injured in the incident.
