Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 38-year-old Oceanside resident Karen Day.
Day’s sister reported her missing on Dec. 22 when she failed to arrive for a family holiday gathering in Northern California.
Day was last seen by her landlord on Dec. 28 at approximately 5:00 p.m. She left her purse, cell phone and wallet behind and has not been heard from since.
Her car was left at a shop for repairs on Dec. 18 and it has not been picked up.
The family said that Day’s actions are out of character and they are concerned for her safety. The police believe the circumstances to be suspicious.
