A homicide investigation is underway at the San Diego Mission Bay Resort where a man was shot and killed overnight. NBC 7’s Ramon Galindo reports.

A 20-year-old man who was shot and killed at San Diego Mission Bay Resort early Sunday has been identified.

The victim identified as Raysean Green, from Perris, was found wounded inside a hotel room at a tower near the resort after 3:30 a.m., San Diego Police Department acting homicide Lt. Joel Tien said.

The resort is located at 1775 East Mission Bay Dr., west of Interstate 5.

Green had been shot in his torso and died at the scene, police said. Tien said the death is being investigated as a homicide.

As of Wednesday, no arrests had been made. No one else was hurt.

SDPD officials said witnesses reported some sort of fight had taken place in the hallway before shots were fired. The fight led into the room where the man was shot.

Witnesses told police they saw two men leaving the hotel in a white, late-model sedan right after the shooting.

Investigators said they're still trying to find more information on these two men so they can be identified.
