Man accused of killing El Cajon dentist appears for mental competency hearing

A court-appointed doctor declared Mohammed Sabah Abdulkareem competent to stand trial. Abdulkareem agreed that he is competent, but his lawyer wants an independent evaluation of his mental standing. The judge granted that on May 2, 2024, as NBC 7’s Joey Safchik reports.
