A La Mesa Police patrol car was damaged Thursday when an officer was investigating suspicious activity near the Amaya Drive trolley station.
Officers say when they pulled over a vehicle just before 5 a.m. on Amaya Drive and found a man and a woman inside the car.
The woman was arrested on allegations of possession of methamphetamine.
The man backed up the car into a parked vehicle and then pulled forward, striking the front bumper of the patrol car.
Police said there were no injuries and the suspect’s identity is known.
