Enough rainfall fell in just six hours Monday to match a quarter-year's rainfall for San Diego, according to NBC 7 meteorologists.
Multiple storm systems over the past few days soaked San Diego County with heavy rain, bringing unprecedented flooding and damage that prompted states of emergencies across the county.
From 6 a.m. to noon on Monday, the San Diego International Airport got 2.48 inches of rain, which accounts for one-quarter of the city's normal yearly amount of rain in just one six-hour stretch, according to NBC 7 meteorologist Greg Bledsoe.
It was the fourth-wettest day on record in the entire history of San Diego weather measurements, according to the NWS.

San Diego has gotten more rain over the past three days, than during the past three months combined. In fact, the three-day total is nearly double the past three months.
