Free blood pressure screenings will be provided to thousands of San Diegans across the county on Valentine's Day as part of the Love Your Heart Day program.
Screenings will be offered from Fallbrook and Oceanside to Potrero and Tijuana, from Encinitas and Coronado to Borrego Springs and Jacumba.
An interactive map shows where the screening will be offered. Enter your zip code for information on an event near you.
In 2018, the program run by Live Well San Diego helped more than 36,000 people get to know their blood pressure numbers better. Six of every 10 people screened in San Diego County last year had high blood pressure.
Of those, 13 screenings signaled an emergency and 94 screenings signaled an urgency, meaning the person screened needed to seek medical attention.
One of the partners in the annual event is the YMCA of San Diego County. There will be volunteers providing screenings at several YMCA locations on Thursday. The hours vary so check before you go.
