Franmil Reyes hit 800 feet of home runs to help power the San Diego Padres past the Seattle Mariners by the final score of 6-3 Tuesday night at Petco Park.
In the 2nd inning, Reyes hit a 402 foot homer to left center, giving the Padres a 3-0 lead. Then in the 6th inning, Reyes hit a 398 homer to center, to make the score 4-2 Padres. The homers were Reyes 5th and 6th of the season.
Padres catcher Austin Hedges added a 2 run homer later in the 6th to extend the lead to 6-2.
Padres pitcher Nick Margevicious pitched 5 innings with 4 strikeouts to even his record at 2-2 this season.
This was the first time since June 2007 that the Mariners and Padres have met with winning records. The Padres have won two straight following a season-worst six-game losing streak. The Mariners have lost two straight.
San Diego and Seattle wrap up the 2 game series Wednesday at 12:40 at Petco Park.
