The 13-year-old subject of a now-canceled FBI Amber Alert issued last week was found Tuesday in Tecate, Mexico, along with the 43-year-old suspect in her alleged kidnapping, Mexican authorities confirmed Wednesday.
The FBI issued an Amber Alert on Dec. 14 for the teen, last seen with 43-year-old Lorenzo "Carlos" Guerrero on Dec. 10. The two were believed to be in a silver 2007 Mercedes Benz C230 with California license plate 5ZFS158. The agency confirmed Tuesday night that the teen was found and the alert had been canceled.
The Baja California Attorney General's Office confirmed Wednesday that the teen was found in Tecate on Tuesday, along with Guerrero. The girl was placed in the custody of state officials and Guerrero was arrested by Mexican authorities, according to Baja California prosecutors.
On Dec. 16, the FBI told prosecutors and law enforcement in Mexico that Guerrero could be in Tecate's San Jose neighborhood. Three days later, investigators found Guerrero, the silver Mercedes, which turned out to be reported stolen on Dec. 11, and confirmed the location of the teen girl.

Following his arrest in Mexico, Guerrero will face extradition procedures, according to Mexican prosecutors. He faces a kidnapping charge in the Southern District of California, according to the FBI.
Days after the search began, the FBI announced a reward of up to $10K for anyone who had information on the case.
