Jaquar Driver Ejected in High-Speed Crash: CHP

CHP officers diverted morning commuters trying to use the toll road at H Street

A San Diego man died when his Jaguar collided with a guard rail along northbound State Route 125 early Friday.

The collision happened before 1:45 a.m. along the South Bay Expressway north of San Miguel Road.

The victim has been identified by California Highway Patrol officials as a 37-year-old San Diego resident.

CHP officials said a 2007 Jaguar was traveling at a high-rate of speed when it struck the guard rail, tearing open the left side of the Jaguar and ejecting the driver.

The Jaguar was struck by two Honda's and a Hummer. No one in those vehicles was injured.

The driver of the Hummer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence as a result of the crash, CHP officers said.
