Dry weather is headed to San Diego County this week, with periods of windy conditions anticipated, forecasters said.
Expect weak Santa Ana winds for the mountains and deserts, but don't expect anything as strong as what we saw a couple weeks ago, said NBC 7 meteorologist Greg Bledsoe.
Deserts should get above average gusts up to 35 mph Monday, with sunny conditions and highs hitting the mid-70s to low 80s through the week, according to the National Weather Service. Mountains areas are expected to see some strong winds ranging from 20 to 30 mph until at least Tuesday, with highs in the lower 60s, reaching the upper 70s by the end of the week.
The inland valley areas could also see some strong gusts leading into Tuesday, with mostly sunny conditions and highs reaching the low 80s by Thursday, forecasters said.

How cold will it be in San Diego?
Last weekend was quite cold in San Diego and those cool mornings will continue, although likely not as cold as during the weekend. Mornings will generally be in the 30s or 40s, according to Bledsoe, but daytime temperatures will get slightly warmer each day.
Local
Thursday and Friday will be the two warmest days this week, Bledsoe added.
"Inland areas could get close to 80 degrees again by later this week. The weekend will be a little cooler, but dry. The chance for any rain doesnβt pop up again until next week, and thatβs too far off to start talking about timing," Bledsoe said.
Monday temperatures:
- COAST: MOSTLY CLOUDY, 49
- VALLEY: MOSTLY CLEAR, 42
- MTN: CLEAR, COLD, 33
- DESERT: CLEAR, COOL, 44
