Sheriff's deputies arrested a man who was reportedly waving a gun around and threatening suicide after an hours-long standoff in Santee.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department (SDSO) engaged the man just after 6:30 p.m. in an open field on the 8400 block of Graves Avenue south of Prospect Avenue.
