California Highway Patrol Officers have reopened all lanes of northbound Interstate 5 just south of Del Mar Heights following a fiery crash early Thursday.
Three cars collided along northbound I-5 just south of Del Mar Heights at 4 a.m.
One car rolled then caught fire.
A Toyota Avalon struck a tow truck then lost control and ended up in another lane. That's when a Chevy Express van struck the Avalon.
The drivers were not in the vehicles when they caught fire, CHP officers said.
Two people were injured. One suffered a broken leg, officials said.
CHP Investigators say a driver falling asleep at the wheel may have been the cause of the crash.
